As a busy working couple, we were looking for a custom-built house that did not need us to be always present to supervise during the construction stage. We stumbled upon J Homes when we went to view a previous property done by them which was up on the market. Upon further inquiry we managed to contact Mr. Shafraz Junaid, Director of J Homes (Pvt) Ltd and was apprised about a new housing scheme being built at Attidya road. Upon evaluation, we found that the project met our budget and timelines as well. We found it easy to negotiate and express our opinions on any matters that we needed adjustments with Mr. Junaid which was pleasant to work with.

My wife’s uncle had recently purchased a built house from “J Homes”. On visiting the house, and seeing the architecture, quality of products and design, and aesthetically done finishing, my wife and I were quite impressed. It also fitted our modest budget.
The deal was consequently executed and the house was handed over completed in the stipulated time as per agreement. Once completed the house exuded the same finish that we saw earlier and we did not have any complaints. Of course it must be said that significant structural changes was not entertained during the construction stage and for good reason, as the ‘unique aesthetic flavor’ of the houses is the outcome of Shafraz Junaid’s personal style of combining traditional designs with modern conveniences and luxury. An aunt saw our house and she too purchased one.
It is now three years plus and ‘touch wood’ there are no complaints from us, except for small “this and that problems” due to usage. Mr Faizal Junaid does his very best to sort these out. In fact after the first house, we once again invested in another J Homes house, this time larger and with more luxury amenities and fittings. This time around we were much more confident after experiencing the ‘no hassle’ purchase of the first house.

I got to know Shafraz in mid-2017. Initially I met his Sales representative and through him I was introduced to Shafraz. At the first meeting we realized that we were school mates, which made things much easier.
I found Shafraz to be a very practical, approachable person to work with. Due to the location of my work place and work schedule, I preferred the meetings at the site early in the mornings, which he agreed without any hesitation. He is very straight forward with his opinions and feedback, if he thought any of the suggestions made by us were not good, he was very open about it. He was very accommodative and flexible throughout each purchase we had to do together. His views and ideas are very pragmatic.
One important factor, unusual to what I have heard about the construction industry, he was never after the money. Even when the payments were due as per the schedule of payments, he never pushed for it, in fact he kept pushing back, saying he will ask for it only when it was needed.
The quality of his work is up to the mark. The relationship didn’t end with him handing over the house. Even when I required assistance with small matters after we moved in, he and his team of staff have been quite helpful. He aided with almost all the processes with the local authorities on the ownership transfers.
I have no hesitation to recommend Shafraz and JHomes to anyone who is looking for a partner to build a house or purchase one.Symph, Designer
